“HAMMONTON — Workers welding at Buffalo Farms Freezer and Cold Storage may have sparked a fire that destroyed the fruit-packing and storage warehouse last week, Hammonton police Chief Robert Jones said Monday.

However, the cause remains under investigation, he said.

The building and land at 205 Pine Road, which includes 40,000 square feet of cold storage, freezer and repacking space, are assessed at about $1.2 million, according to state tax records.”
