Revolutionizing Cold Store Operations with Delf Freezer Wear!

At Barpro Storage SA, we’ve spent decades learning the needs of the cold storage industry… From offering innovative Racking solutions, we continuously seek ways to enhance efficiency in cold storage. That’s why we’ve introduced Delf Freezer Wear, a game-changing Personal Protective Equipment/Freezer wear solution that redefines workforce productivity, safety & wellbeing. Why Settle for Less? Cold stores are high-demand hazardous environments where every second counts. Yet, many operations rely on locally manufactured freezer wear that fails to keep up with the job’s requirements. These options might be cost-effective initially, but their performance deteriorates rapidly, especially after washing. Insulation materials often clump and shift, leaving workers exposed to freezing temperatures, drastically reducing their effective operational time. At Barpro Storage SA, we found that these local products just weren’t doing the job , seeking better alternatives, we discovered Delf Freezer Wear. Freezer Wear is designed and manufactured in the UK to meet the rigorous standards of industrial cold store operations. This isn’t just a step up—it’s a revolution in cold store efficiency. The Secret to Superior Performance: Hollow Microfiber Technology What makes Delf Freezer Wear stand out? The answer lies in its hollow microfiber insulation technology, a cutting-edge innovation that ensures superior thermal protection. Unlike conventional freezer suits, Delf maintains its structure and insulating properties even after multiple washes. This ensures your team remains comfortable and warm for extended periods, minimizing disruptions and maximizing productivity. DELF FREEZERWEAR – COST VS QUALITY

Delf Freezer Wear is more than double the price of local cold store PPE. So why should it even be considered as an alternative? On the other hand , why do companies that buy Delf Freezer Wear generally continue to  buy more? Barpro technicians have been wearing Delf Freezer Wear  since 1996 for a reason. It actually keeps them warm. They can work at minus 25 degrees C in relative comfort for over 2 hours at a time. They don’t need warm up rooms which, from a medical point of view, are of questionable value. The insulating material in Delf Freezer Wear contains a percentage of hollow fiber material  which is almost 5 times better at trapping warm air than cheaper alternatives.  So long as the garments are washed correctly, the wadding stays in place  and maintains insulation, so the suits last  considerably longer than   alternatives. Local suits either consist of jackets or full one-piece suits.  Delf Freezer Wear is predominantly sold  as a jacket and salopettes.  This  arrangement  covers the critical body core with 2 layers of insulation.  Additional zips at the ankles allow for easy dressing with your cold store boots on. Those interested in trying Delf Freezer Wear should purchase a full set consisting of a Jacket, Salopette,  trapper cap or balaclava, gloves, and cold store boots.  If a cold store worker has cold feet, no freezer suit will make him comfortable.      Some testimonials  are included below. If you would like to trial Delf we will sell you the first full set at special price. TESTIMONIALS PONGOLA COLD STORE, KWAZULU NATAL – KLASIE POSTMA Klasie Postma, Owner of Pongola Cold Store in Pongola, KZN said, “Since our new freezer started up in November 2017 , we kitted our workers with Delf freezer clothing and working at minus 25 degrees they can spend extended times in the freezer. The clothing is also durable and after many washes still looks new.” Pongola Dispatch Manager, Naas Minaar is still happily wearing the Delf jacket he received when the freezer store was commissioned. Delf freezer wear products are not only the best products on the market but also have long useful lives. The importance of high-quality PPE when working in a cold store

During Covid, we have all learned that if your body core temperature is higher than 37.5˚C, you are unwell. Maybe some are aware that the heart will stop at a core temperature of less than 29˚C. If the body’s temperature is lower than 37.5˚C, humans quickly lose concentration and the ability to do simple calculations. Working at cold temperatures can affect the joints & cause painful hands & feet. Apart from the medical conditions, continuously cold hands and feet together with the painful warming process makes the cold store workers unproductive and require more time in warmer areas. Working in freezer stores can force the body to produce more heat to maintain a core temperature of 37.5˚C. The selection of cold store clothing should include an understanding of the duties that the wearer is likely to perform and the clothing itself should be able to ‘wick’ perspiration when strenuous work is performed.  Reach truck drivers who are relatively ‘inactive’ when driving the vehicles should be considered for more highly insulated clothing than picking staff for example. Hollow fiber technology provides vastly improved insulation for freezer wear. The Delf Freezer wear range incorporates the latest European Health and safety requirements into their PPE and uses a special fiber blend including hollow fill fibers. This tough and durable cold wear PPE includes a range of salopettes, jackets, boots, gloves, and headgear which guarantee to keep cold store workers warm and increase productivity.
