On 10th April, Peter Morrison of PM Systems revealed a new LED cold store light fitting. Rated at 180watts this 8kg fitting gives off a warm white light (3500K) at temperatures as low as minus 40 Celsius. Start up is instant and, at a height of 10metres, it has a lux of 57 in a diameter of 12 metres. Although Peter was coy on price, the fitting will be tested in one of his client’s Cape Town cold stores.
