It all started with a hammock…

Neptune began life in 1996 in a farm workshop in Wiltshire, England. Today it is a thriving business with a rapidly expanding network and over 200 staff, headed by founders John Sims Hilditch and Giles Redman.

It success lies in its offering of high quality home and lifestyle products, always in tune with public demand.

With Neptune’s approach to quality, it was a natural move to appoint STORAX to utilise its new warehouse space most effectively. The solution was mobile racking. The STORAX system holds 2000 loads of various sizes in the smallest possible area, allowing fast, direct access to any item. These STORAX mobile racks may be controlled via the pushbutton units that are fitted to all systems. In Neptune’s case, the system is linked to the Neptune Warehouse Management System (WMS), giving the stock control system the ability to select the aisle to open.

Maximum efficiency and maximum space utilisation – the STORAX way.
