Consider Sensei for Energy Savings

New Orleans Cold Storage has just signed up with Cascade Energy to maximise energy efficiency in its US based cold stores.  Having listened to NOCS CEO Mark Blanchard give a talk to the Australian Refrigerated Warehousing and Transport Association some years ago about how he had turned his company around after the infamous cyclone, I know he would have checked Cascade’s offering out carefully before making a commitment.  I also know that Michael Bellstedt, an ex South African refrigeration engineer who runs Minus 40 in Sydney is also Cascade Energy’s representative in Australia. He showed me details of the Cascade system “tune up” and Sensei a software platform that allows operators to see how changes in plant operation affect energy usage.  I could understand why Mark Blanchard signed up for them and wondered when they would be available in South Africa.
