Over the course of the project, several adjustments were made to maximise the efficiency and capacity of the STORAX system. These adjustments included revising the rail lengths and upgrading the bases to heavier specs for future flexibility. Installation was also challenging, with only half the bases able to be installed before the store temperature was reduced – the rest were fitted by Barpro as required, in the cold.
Chilly or not, the job got done, and Southern Cold Storage has been very pleased with their new STORAX system.
“Barpro was one of the key Suppliers and contributors to the Southern Cold Storage Project Team and implementation of the new facility.
James and Team offered sound advice in both design and best cold store practice.
The mobile solution allowed us to increase our capacity by 60% thereby offering a better solution to our clients.
Implementation and subsequent operation of the STORAX system has been smooth and extremely functional.
Thank you Barpro for the assistance and ongoing support!”
